My father was a Pharmacist that went to school on the GI Bill after WWII. When the don't eat eggs because of cholesterol came up I asked him about it. ( He liked his eggs over easy with bacon)

He said that egg cholesterol is broken down by our digestive system and our bodies build what is needs out of that. So we have known for sure for a long time the eating eggs do not result in heart disease. I have read and talked with MDs, nutritionist, and many other people that should have known different still proclaim that consuming eggs can result in heart problems.

Yup, the myth is still so prevalent nowadays, isn’t it?

one day I'll write about the RN at the Urology clinic.

It is a shorter story.

Modern Medicine has become oxymoronic.

I feel like I am going to used car lot and talking to someone in a loud plaid jacket.

well, modern medicine is just drug sales these days. Or some surgical procedure sales. Depends what the salesmen can convince you to pay for.

This reply is long and hope it excessively diverts you (Jane Austin).

I have a history of high cholesterol with ranges of 225 to 255 total (always HDL 60-65)

My GP is actually a nurse practitioner, she is very good in my estimation.

I was originally prescribed 10 mg/day Crestor by a cardiologist. I took it for about 4 yrs.

I experimented with 1 every other day for about 3 month to see the results.

On daily 10mg - 185 or so total.

on 5 mg - about 210 total.

I stopped taking it and total went back up to 235 or so total.

My GP is actually a nurse practitioner, she is very good in my estimation.

She told to get back on crestor and adjust my diet. I told her I tried diet about 10 yrs prior and it did not help. She was in disbelief and assumed I was dieting correctly. I told here I would not go back to punishment eating foods that tasted like cardboard. I ended the discussion, and agreed to her prescribing crestor, 90 days of generic was about 10 dollars. I never finished it, that was two years ago. I have not seen her since because of the COVID B.S.. The clinic wants my vaxx status which I will not give them and later they started testing everyone for COVID. I refuse to have anyone shove a stick into my upper sinus! That type of testing is a good way to create infections and punch through the sinus brain barrier. I have never tested for COVID and still refuse to this day.

In August 2021, I went back to the cardiologist. He had an intern cardiologist from a med school do my initial exam. He asked me about my lipids and I told him I stopped taking crestor. He asked me who told me not to take it. I said it was my decision. He was in disbelief. He keep up with that but I refused to back down.

Oh, my initial BP during the exam was about 150 systolic. He told me I had high BP. I told him I was late so I hurried from the parking lot into the hospital and found the elevator was not working so I bounded up the to the clinic. My BP was taken withing 5 min of arrival.

Now back to the intern cardiologist.

I asked him to retake my BP in 5 min. It was down to 135 so he was not happy with me. They also scheduled a EKG and lipid test. I had an EKG last year ( I am over 65 and history of heart disease in my family).

I am convinced that the EKG was to determine if my heart was damaged by the bioweapon shots. They never asked for my Vaxx status or shared anything about heart issues.

Results:

No issues with EKG. I went longer than required, higher heart rate, with no breathing issues.

Lipids results were 75/75. I have never had that good a lipid analysis before.

What changed?

This is anecdotal evidence of course and to be totally discounted by everyone now.

Such and evil word, anecdotal.

no crestor

began taking Diamox 125 mg 2x/day (hate the stuff) but take to because of so called Meniere's Disease diagnosis. on it for 3 months prior to lipid test

began taking probiotics 4 to 7x per week. at the same time as began taking Diamox.

I have found nothing in peer review that shows any relationship between Diamox and lipids.

Therefore, I conclude (anecdotally of course) that the right gut organisms changed my reabsorption of lipids. Since lipids are solids, I assume excess lipids must be removed by the digestive system and /or reabsorbed by it as well. I don't believe they can be removed by urination or breathing. Please guide here if I am wrong.

I hope this provided some excessive diversion for you, in the Jane Austin since.

I love the word for I am often pleasantly or excessively diverted by today's insanity.

Dr Joel.

I often read that body builders need 1 gram per lb of body weight.

What about active regular exercisers who just do walking Pilates and moderate weights ?

How do we calculate our needs?

Hi Jon,

Bodybuilding requires all that protein to ensure that the muscles they build up don't waste away.

For mere mortals... We don't have to seek out as crazy amounts of protein as bodybuilders. But definitely eschewing carbohydrates in favour of protein is good.
