There exists a dynamic equilibrium between joint cartilage synthesis and cartilage destruction, and these are governed by 2 different groups of cells.
Much as how bone mineral formation and bone mineral destruction are governed by 2 different sets of cells.
As we can see, that adds on another wrinkle to the number of balances that we have to precariously balance.
